About the Chief

  Chief Anderson began his career in 1986 with the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office as a Corrections Officer. He moved to the Chiefland area in 1989 and began working at Lancaster Correctional Institution. In 1995 Chief Anderson began working at the Levy County Sheriffs Office as a Correctional Officer and eventually started on the road in Patrol. Once in Patrol Chief Anderson worked his way up to the rank of Captain of Special Operations. His duties as Captain included Dispatch, Motor Pool, Marine Unit, SWAT, K-9 and DTF. In 2015 Chief Anderson retired from the Levy County Sheriffs Office. In 2015 Chief Anderson began working as a Patrol Officer for the Chiefland Police Department. In 2016 he was elected Chief.
